How it works

   Share a family code

   From your settings, tap Link co-parent. KlusQuest shows an 8-character family code that is valid for 15 minutes. The other parent installs the app, chooses "I'm a co-parent, I have a code" and types it in.

   Both parents see everything

   Tasks, photos waiting for approval, coin balances, locked hours and family time appear on both phones. An approval on one phone clears the card on the other. There is no lesser second-parent role.

   Pair a child's second device the same way

   A child with both an iPhone and an iPad pairs each one to the same child with a family code. Locked apps are set on each device, because Apple's picker only works on the device it protects, but locked-hour schedules are synced, and coins and free minutes are one pool.

   Keep an eye on it from your lock screen

   Home-screen widgets show what is waiting per child, and a Live Activity follows a running session or a family-time lock on your lock screen.

What happens on your child's devices

The wallet on the iPad shows the same coins and free minutes as the wallet on the iPhone. Starting screen time on one device draws from the shared pool; the second device sees the new balance when it is online. A remote family-time lock request requires delivery to every paired device of that child, and your phone tells you how many of them have confirmed and applied the lock once they are online.

Each device asks once for Screen Time access and for its own app selection, because Apple keeps that on the device. A game installed only on the iPad is locked there; the iPhone does not need to know about it.

What each parent sees

Two phones, one family. The home screen shows every child with the number of tasks waiting, the mode pill, and the family-time button. When one parent approves a task or grants a request for more time, the other parent's phone updates as soon as it is online. Sending a task back with a tip from one phone shows the tip on the other.

Settings such as free minutes and coin rates are shared too, so a child does not get a different deal depending on which parent opened the app. One subscription covers the whole family, on all your devices.

What is deliberately not there

• No second-class parent — A co-parent is not a viewer. Both parents approve, set locked hours, start family time and change rates.
• No separate wallets per device — One child is one pool, however many devices they own. Minutes earned once are spent once.
• No location or activity sharing between parents — Parents share tasks, approvals and screen-time state. Nobody sees where the child is or what they typed, because KlusQuest does not have it.
• No per-device subscription — One subscription for the family covers every parent phone and every child device.

What you need

• KlusQuest on each parent's iPhone or iPad — iOS 17.4 or later. The co-parent signs in with their own Apple Account and joins with the family code.
• The child's own devices, each paired with the family code — Screen Time access and the app selection are granted on each device separately by a parent holding it.
• An internet connection for syncing — Approvals, requests and locks travel between devices online. A device that is offline catches up when it reconnects.
