Privacy Policy

The short version

KlusQuest is a family app by NetKreatives (Belgium) that lets children earn screen time, pocket money and in-game progress by doing chores. Privacy is a design principle: the app works locally on your devices and collects as little data as possible. Sign-in is anonymous — there is no account, no email address and no real name for your child.

Who we are

KlusQuest is made by NetKreatives, based in Belgium. For anything privacy-related, contact support@klusquest.com.

What data we process

Locally on the device: profiles (nickname, age band, avatar), missions, reward pots, savings goals and game progress. This data never leaves the device unless you enable family sync.

Family sync (optional): if you link devices, nickname, age band, missions, pots and game progress are stored with our processor Supabase (Frankfurt data centre, EU). Sign-in is anonymous — no account, email address or child's name is required. Each household is technically isolated from every other household.

Apple Screen Time: if you use the screen-time reward, the app uses Apple's FamilyControls to temporarily release the apps you choose. Screen-time data is never analysed, shared or transmitted — it stays entirely on the device.

Photo proof (optional): if you ask for a photo with a mission, that picture is stored in your own household's protected storage area and can be opened by your family only. Deleting your family deletes the photos with it.

App usage (pseudonymous): to see where setup or usage breaks down, we collect a small number of events (for example "setup started", "mission approved") with a randomly generated device ID. That ID is not linked to your household, your name or any other data — we cannot derive a person or family from it. No content (no chore names, no nicknames) is ever sent.

What we don't do

No adverts and no tracking; we therefore never show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

No third-party analytics SDKs.

No selling or sharing of data.

No bank linking; pocket money in the app is bookkeeping, not real money.

Children

KlusQuest is built for families. The parent administers the app; children are never asked for an email address, real name or any other identifying data. Parent and child have separate screens, and the parent area is behind a PIN.

Purchases

KlusQuest Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account. Purchases are handled with Apple's own StoreKit — there is no third-party subscription provider involved, and we never receive your payment details.

Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymized App Store statistics (downloads, sales) that cannot be traced to you.

Retention and deletion

Local data is removed by deleting the app. Sync data is kept for as long as the household exists.

You can erase everything yourself from inside the app: parent area → Settings → Delete family and account. Prefer email? Write to support@klusquest.com and we will delete your household and all associated data within 30 days.

This website

klusquest.com sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Our servers and Cloudflare (our network provider) keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and reliability. If we ever add analytics, it will load only after you consent.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, delete and port your data. Write to support@klusquest.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or with the data protection authority in your own country.
