Assign a chore, agree what done means, and keep the reward clear. Approval, collecting coins and starting screen time are separate steps.
Your child sees the chores waiting today on their own iPhone or iPad. Add a clear task such as 'Put clean clothes in the drawers', with a photo if you need one. Submitted work waits for a parent to review.
You or your co-parent review submitted chores in 'Waiting for you'. Approve the work or send it back with a useful tip. Approved coins are ready for your child to collect; approval alone does not unlock apps.
You decide how many minutes of screen time one coin opens. Each day starts with the daily minutes you set, separately for weekdays and weekends, and those cost no coins. When they are used up, your child swaps coins for extra minutes. When they start their time, the apps you picked open through Apple's Screen Time; when the minutes run out, those apps lock again. The app says stop, not you. During locked hours, such as school time, bedtime and dinner, the chosen apps stay locked even if minutes are left. Your child can ask for more time; you decide.
Your child can exchange collected coins for screen-time minutes or save for a real-life reward, such as choosing a family film. You agree the values. A real-life reward still needs you to deliver it.
With Screen Time permission on linked child devices, choose a family-time period of 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or until tomorrow morning. iOS decides which system apps remain available; KlusQuest stays reachable.
Then everything works as a voucher. Earned minutes become credit you manage yourself, and the app does not lock anything.
Link your co-parent with a code so you both see the family's chores and rewards. Either parent can review submitted work. Your child's device and the parent views stay in sync.
Separate screens for parent and child. No ads, no loot boxes and no punishment for a missed day: an undone chore simply expires. No bank linking. Proof photos are kept only while a chore is waiting for review.
KlusQuest locks and unlocks apps through Apple's Screen Time, on your child's own device. With a Child Account in your Family Sharing group, you give Screen Time permission on that device. It also works with an ordinary Apple Account, but then your child can delete the app.
